Into the west: wind, mountains and glaciers

The „Petroleum-Road“

From Caleta Olivia to Pico Truncado, Las Heras to Perito Moreno

Perito Moreno and Los Antiguos

Cueva de las Manos

El Chalten

On Route 40 to El Calafate

Gravel roads, sidewind and heavy packed with water… This was a bit to mucht for the rear carrier…. I know, I shoulden’t have choosen the cheap one…

El Calafate: Pelicans and the Glaciar Perito Moreno

On Route 40 to the Chilean border (Paso Internacional Rio Don Guillermo)

There I am going……………………………………………there I came from
A bit slow going with all the wind…..

Gravel from now on (if you don’t take the detour to Esperanza).
Should this guy be a warning for all the cyclists passing by?
Go on! I just hope the tire nicely waiting on the side of the road is not one out of Rubber but just a piece of „automobilistic street-art“….

The little „windshield mountain“ is not much use, when the wind is changing direction during the night. My luck the winds other than from west normally are not very strong.

Chile is coming into sight an with it a glimps of the mountains of the Torres del Paine National Park. Adios Argentina!
